These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of FreeHTMLEditor.net (the “Site”) and its tools, including the live HTML editor, formatter, validator, and related utilities (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FreeHTMLEditor.net provides a free, browser-based code editor and related developer tools for writing and previewing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The core Service requires no account and no payment. Optional paid features (if introduced in the future) will be governed by additional terms presented at that time.

2. Your Content

Any HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other content you write or paste into the editor (“Your Content”) remains yours. Your Content is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that says otherwise (such as an opt-in cloud save, if offered). We claim no ownership over Your Content.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create, host, or distribute malicious code, malware, or content intended to attack, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to any system
  • Violate any applicable law or infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service in a way that harms its availability for other users

The live preview runs your code inside a sandboxed iframe in your own browser for your own testing purposes; we are not responsible for what you choose to write or run there.

4. No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Because code is stored in your browser’s local storage, we strongly recommend exporting or backing up any work you cannot afford to lose.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeHTMLEditor.net and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of data, code, or business — arising from your use of the Service.

6. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or load resources from third parties (for example, font or code-editor libraries via CDN, or advertising networks). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service.

7. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
